Course Detail
Enacted in late 2020, the No Surprises Act added and expanded protections for individuals covered under group health plans, including important protections against surprise billing that became effective in 2022. Group health plans and their service providers play an important role in implementing these protections, including properly adjudicating cost sharing, providing required notices, and determining payments for out-of-network providers. This program will provide group health plans and their advisors and service providers with helpful background and context for navigating these rules, including an overview of the statutory requirements under the No Surprises Act and details regarding the implementing regulations and other guidance.
