Course Detail
The FASB is constantly reviewing the Accounting Standards and addressing concerns of stakeholders by drafting and issue Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs). Each year, the FASB publishes ASUs for different purposes from clarification of current standards to new standards to stay current with issues and concerns for transparency and accuracy of accounting and financial statements. In 2021 and 2022 combined, the FASB issued 16 ASUs impacting current U.S. GAAP as found in the Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) Topics. In order to stay on top of the rules, regulations and guidelines as pronounced, CPAs need to be aware of these changes. This course provides a general overview of developments in the standards and is most appropriate for the professional with a background in this topic who is interested in keeping current in this area.
