Building the Internal Audit Function is a look at the internal audit activity from the perspective of the Chief Audit Executive. This course provides a focused introduction to the basic building blocks of a newly established internal audit department. Starting with the Internal Audit Charter we will explore staffing considerations, strategic planning and working with various stakeholders. This course will also introduce the IIA standards and several general topics like risk assessment, audit planning and audit technologies. Finally there is also an in depth look at the quality assurance program and annual assessment of the internal audit function.
