This course details the use and implementation of the Single Audit from the proposal and planning stages through risk assessment and compliance. Reporting and review requirements are also discussed. The requirements of the Uniform Guidance are covered in depth including the risks considered and reports issued in a Single Audit. This course also discusses federal awards (FA) and federal compliance requirements and the Compliance Statement. A description is provided for other considerations in performing a Single Audit, such as risk of material noncompliance, compliance testing and documentation.
The 2018 Yellow Book version is now effective for audits, attestation engagements, reviews or financial statements, and performance audits. This course is updated for those changes from the 2011 Yellow Book version.
This course is most beneficial to professionals new to governmental audits who may be at the staff or entry level in an organization but also for an experienced professional with limited exposure to this subject.
