Course Detail
Because the elderly are perceived as vulnerable and unlikely to fight back or expose the abuse, they are prime targets of abuse-whether it be financial exploitation, physical abuse, emotional or psychological abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect and abandonment.
Although this course will focus on financial exploitation and its warning signs, be aware that these warning signs could point to other types of abuse. Consequently, knowing how to identify financial abuse is critical to the safety and security of the victims.
This basic overview may be appropriate for professionals at all organizational levels.
