Internal Control Deficiencies tend to be the root cause of most findings of material misstatement, whether due to error or fraud on financial audits. Audit Standards PCAOB AS-1305 and AUC-265 require financial auditors to communicate in writing such deficiency findings to the client when assessed as a significant deficiency or a material weakness. Especially in the case of private entity financial audits, internal control work tends to be minimized as testing controls is a choice and a substantive audit approach is preferred. This can lead to audit and client inefficiencies that never get addressed. This webinar discusses best practices for both the auditor and the client as it relates to addressing internal control deficiencies.

Who should attend: If you’re responsible for identifying, communicating, or responding to internal control deficiencies, this session will help you apply the right standards and make a greater impact on audit quality and organizational efficiency.
