Course Detail
There are many choices of business entity. Sole proprietorships have been the most popular and for many taxpayers the most appropriate way to do business. But the IRS has Schedule C in its cross-hairs. In this webinar we will cover the definition of a trade or business and the filing requirements including those for a husband and wife doing business together and those of disregarded entities (Single member LLCs). We will review the audit issues for sole proprietorships. We will do a review of the income and deductions allowed on a Schedule C. Finally, we will cover the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and the scheduled expiration of many of its provisions on Schedule C.
