What is a Peer Review  

A peer review is a periodic external review of a firm's quality control system in accounting and auditing. The AICPA requires its member firms to undergo a peer review every three years, if the firm performs services within the scope of the peer review standards and issues reports in accordance with AICPA professional standards. This overview may be appropriate for professionals at all organizational levels.
